Thirty Seconds

Greetings.  What would you and your company do if you had 30 seconds and up to $3,000,000 to impress 130,000,000 people?  Would you…

  • Paint a new picture of a more remarkable future?
  • Recall a simple and more hopeful past?
  • Highlight your amazing technology?
  • Suggest that you were unlike anything else?
  • Appeal to someone's sense of kindness and fairness?
  • Spark an innate desire to party?
  • Encourage people to expect more?
  • Channel wisdom through a clever stock trading baby?
  • Show how karma could connect a man and a beaver?
  • Teach dogs to serve beer?
  • Come to the rescue in a moment of doubt?
  • Or make fun of the rich and the music of Kenny G?

Thirty seconds to deliver a winning message.  Ninety attempts to change minds and win customers wrapped around the most popular sporting event in the U.S. The Super Bowl and Super Bowl commercials have made their annual visit. And while they might not have been the most memorable ads, they did keep many of us glued to our seats–hoping to be engaged, inspired, and motivated to think in new and powerful ways about established companies and unfamiliar upstarts.

And hoping to see what it really takes to make a lasting impression.

Which ads will you remember in the days and weeks ahead?  And which new products or services will you decide to buy?

We win in business and in life when we figure out how to connect with those we hope to serve.  30 seconds to make a difference.  What's your message?

Cheers!
